Whether you find a 4 bedroom B&B or a 3 bungalow Family Hotel... Your choice will be unique. Options range from a backpacker dorm through to 5-star equivalent comfort.

The Haere Mai Federation was created during the first Trade Fair of Small Family hotels on February 12th, 1997 and counts today 20 associations from 21 different islands within Tahiti and Her Islands.

A total of 172 Guesthouses, family hotels and backpackers welcomes and invites travellers to experience the authentic, warm and friendly atmosphere and ambiance of the true Polynesia.

Each of the properties are very unique. Created from personal homes and living spaces, there are very few that have much in common. Due to this, it's not easy to work these into a classification system like the standard 1-star through to 5-star ranking.  The Haere Mai Federation has attempted to create a classification system however and have begun rating the various properties in the 5 island groups of Tahiti & Her Islands.  Click here to link through to their information and reservations website.
